From Hawaii to Kawaii to the Waimea Bay,
There's a legend of an Idol and the acncient natives say
That there once was guitar-playin', singing-tiki-king,
and people came from near and to see the tiki sing.
Uh-Huh!
The King Tiki Idol was a hula star,
From the Tonga Hut to the Tiki Bar.
He could sing like a dream and play guitar,
To all his fans he was a tiki-god.
Well the girls would kick and scream when the heard the Tiki sing,
And toss their coconut tops at the singing tiki dream.
But as the crowds got bigger and the shows began to grow,
The King Tiki Idol couldn't help but feel alone.
Oh-No!
The King Tiki Idol was a hula star,
From the Tonga Hut to the Tiki Bar.
He could sing like a dream and play guitar,
To all his fans he was a tiki-god.
Well on the night of his big show on top of the Great Volcano,
He began to croon a tune and the crowd began to swoon.
Then he strummed a tiki chord and the crowd began to roar.
They reached for him and he fell in and the Tiki was no more.
Oh!
The King Tiki Idol was a hula star,
From the Tonga Hut to the Tiki Bar.
He could sing like a dream and play guitar,
To all his fans he was a tiki-god.
But the King Tiki Idol took things too far,
From the hula girls to the Tiki Bar.
And now that the Idol is long gone,
To all his fans his legend still lives on!
